FUNNIEST SHORTS No.2!

FUNNIEST SHORTS was such a great success last year that, we, the people behind the ‘Kulturtage’ of the city of Schongau, Germany, have decided that we will have a short film festival again this year.  And again, we will give prizes to the funniest films submitted. 

As we did last year, we will award six prizes and the audience will vote for their favourite films on two evenings.  Last year the six prizes were awarded as follows:

1x EUR 500, 2x EUR 250 und 3x EUR 100.  The exact amount of the prices to be awarded this year will be announced later.

If you think that your short film could be good for laughs, please send the film (a maximum of two films per person) together with the completed application form by 25 March 2005 to:

We will try to subsidize travel costs for one individual and one film.  Travels costs will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Therefore, the earlier the film is submitted, the better the chances are for a travel cost allowance!

We are looking for amusing film productions which were completed after 1 January 2003 and which are between 1 and 30 minutes long.  FUNNIEST SHORTS is for all age levels, for beginners and amateurs as well as for students.   The competition is open for films in German or with German subtitles as well as silent films (this category could be interesting for international filmmakers.)

The jury reserves the right to make any decisions about exceptions to these rules

Films can be submitted on DVD (DVD autoplay, without menu, country code 2 PAL or miniDV (PAL).  The films will be used for showing and will not be returned.  (However if required, films can be returned if return postage is included.)

The film festival will take place on 22 and 23 April 2005 in Schongau in the Jakob-Pfeiffer Haus.
